I currently own a Toshiba Satellite A205-S4557 that came with Windows Vista Home Premium, but I have a friend in A++ that can switch it to Windows XP. I’m just wondering what problems I may encounter and if my driver disk will still work? The driver disk says nothing on it about Vista. I think its just a driver disk for Toshiba Satellite A205-S4557
Toshiba’s website doesn’t appear to have many XP drivers available for your model; however, it is a fair bet that they are readily available elsewhere online.
The main problem that I see is that you will likely no longer have a DVD decoder for your laptop, as XP does not come with one on it’s own. Toshiba also does not offer the DVD decoder for download.
